What is an Inspiring Circle?
Inspiring Circles are based on the Mastermind group idea. They offer a mixture of accountability, support and brainstorming to enhance your business (and personal) skills.
An Inspiring Circle will help you and the other members to achieve success by helping each other to set goals and more importantly, to accomplish them.
For an Inspiring Circle to be effective, it requires commitment, confidentiality, willingness to both give and receive advice and ideas, and support each other with total honesty, respect and compassion.
- A class. Don’t expect to show up and learn a skill. The main focus will be brainstorming and accountability.
- Group coaching. This is about each member sharing advice, experience and knowledge, not one on one coaching in a group setting.
- Networking group. Whilst it is fine to share leads and resources with each other, it is not the main focus. You will find plenty of opportunities through the group but you will be disappointed if you want to use the group just for leads and a chance to sell your product or service.
What Are The Benefits of an Inspiring Circle?
Mutual support. Often, when you are working alone, from home, it can become quite isolating. Having the support from others in a similar situation helps.
Alternative Views. The saying goes “if you keep doing the same thing, you will keep getting the same results” and this is where an Inspiring Circle helps. Everyone will have different experiences and different views to bring to the Circle so they can help when you are stuck in a rut and not sure what to do next.
Resources. Each member will use different planning methods, different apps for expenses, different websites for note taking, storing documents etc. They will also have different “go to” groups and sites when they are struggling with an issue and not sure what to do next. Sharing these resources can really help. There are so many apps and sites out there, no one can expect to know them all.
Accountability. At each meeting, we will all commit to ensuring one or two action points are carried out before the next meeting. Now, you may already have a to do list, but often we only focus on what absolutely has to be done, rather than doing the one or two things which may grow our business or give us a step in that direction. Being accountable to others can really help out.
